On the Desktop, look for the two blue up-and-down arrows on the lower right side of the taskbar. RIGHT click the arrows.
You will see Wireless and Wired Network Settings in the pop-up. Click that.
The Network Preferences window will appear. You will see Configure: and an “interface” drop-down followed by a blank drop-down.
Click the blank drop-down menu. Select eth0.
De-select “Automatically configure empty options”. You may now enter your static IPv4 address, router and DNS addresses as needed.
Click Apply and Close.
You may need to reboot to take effect.
