Subject: After extended power failure Grape 2 writes to hard drive continuously and magnetometer failed
After an extended power failure (4th in two weeks), my Grape 2 is not working correctly.
1. I cannot connect with VNC software from an Ubuntu, Raspberry Pi 5, or Windows 10 boxes.
2. With monitor, mouse and keyboard plugged via Grape 2 USB port, it shows two users.
3. Magnetometer no longer shows any data.
4. Hard drive is writing continuously and the hard drive is VERY warm in air-conditioned environment. (The hard drive head sounds like a Windows computer scanning for viruses - click, click, click. Very annoying in my bedroom.)
The three time-station frequencies are being updated on the screen; I do not know if they are being saved to the hard drive.
I have shut down the unit correctly twice and brought it back up The four items mentioned above still continue.
Can anyone tell me what to do next? Private email is perfectly fine.
