I am trying to change the frequency output of my 'older' Bodnar Mini GPSDO (the one used for the GRAPEs, the light silver case) via USB connection.  It has, according to the Bodnar website, the latest software, 1.17.

Problem is...the Bodnar GPS Clock Configuration Mac OS application (which is version 2.00), available in the Apple App Store , is for 'Works with Version 1.18 and upwards firmware'. I get a pretty screen, connection to the device, satellite status, a nice Apple map of my QTH...but no way to push changes into the device's flash memory.  Grrrr.

Does anyone have an oder version of the Mac OS Bodnar GPS Configuration software that you could send me?  The app isn't very big, less than 2M, I believe.

Tnx,

Gary, AF8A

Hello Gary
I have sent you an email with a zipped file of the MacOS app v1.4 from 2018, the one I use with the miniGPS silver Bodnar.

Thank you Gwyn and Robert for providing version 1.4.  It produced the same (negative results).  However....

I eventually found a support email address for Leo Bodnar via a Web search (support <at> leobodnar.com).  The gentleman who replied this morning confirmed that Mac app 2.0 was compatible with GPSDO firmware 1.17 (despite the description in the App Store stating otherwise), and to use the 'Apply' button when changing frequency (blindingly obvious, but still a good piece of advice).   In a fit of stubbornness I reconnected my GPSDO and monitored the output with an oscilloscope.  What I learned:

The 'Apply' button does nothing.   Instead, the 'Find' button will transfer the new frequency to GPSDO every time.  This requires that the 'Live' be selected (enabled).

So, a happy ending - 73 de AF8A

P.S.  I realize there are GPSDO modification routines built into the Grape 1/R Pi operating software by N8OBJ.   I'll get there, eventually...
