I’m considering building the DIY version of PSWS HF Receiver with the RX-888.

But before I start the 12 labours of Hercules, I need to clarify a few things prior to proceeding further.

I currently have a PSWS Grape 1 Legacy in operation. My Grape 1 is sharing its antenna with my HF station. When I want to use my HF station, I activate a remote antenna switch and I change the GRAPE 1 fldigi OP mode from Freq Analysis to NULL . The Grape 1 stops writing into the CSV file. The RF energy from my HF station doesn’t cause any impairment to the PSWS mixer board.

The PSWS HF Receiver with the RX-888 may be another story:

1. Is the RX-888 can survive the RF energy that is generated close-by by my HF station when no antenna is connected (100W,160m to 6m)? Does anyone has transmitted with its HF station while a RX-888 was receiving?

2. Can I set the whole PSWS HF Receiver with the RX-888 on « standby » while transmitting on HF so that no signals are recorded while operating on HF?
