USB Drive copy with errors

So, I have completed the copy of the subset of the data to the USB stick. Two of the files were corrupted. I removed the two files and rsynced all the files from that day. No joy. I then ran a diff on them again and another file appears corrupted. It appears the USB stick is losing sectors.

I am happy to go get another USB stickand put the files on that. I could use one the smaller USB drives I have on hand and just copy and compress the files onto that.

If you have another solution, let me know.

Well, the 4th try was the charm. Every file got copied correctly if I copied them one at a time. The HDD is boxed up.
