Greetings,
On this morning's Grape meeting Bill (AB4EJ) gave a demo of the PSWS Network. I thought I heard a request for beta testing magnetometers in the field. Where can I find the magnetometer boards, if they are available?

Are you getting the RM3100 direct from PNI? I'm also wondering where to get the two support boards (local and remote) as I don't see them on TAPR. I have found the HamSCI instruction page for installing and operating the PSWS magnetometer, and I found the runmag software. But the hardware eludes me. I have been on the fringe of HamSCI for a few years and I apologize if I'm missing something basic.

I am glad to hear of the new NSF grant and the progress on Grape 2.0. When Grape 2.0 becomes available we would love to field one at our remote radio astronomy observatory in Southeastern Colorado. I expect we would be able to correlate our SuperSID and Radio Jove data with Grape WWV data during solar flares. Adding magnetometer data would be a great experiment!

Hi Dan,

TAPR just had a run of 250 magnetometer board sets made. They are currently with Scotty WA2DFI being tested and should be available for sale through the TAPR store soon. We will announce that on the HamSCI list once they are available. TAPR will be including the PNI chips with the boards.

Thank you! That would be great if you could field a magnetometer.
