Welcome to the Grape list!

This mailing list is specifically for maintainers of the Low-Cost Personal Space Weather Station (the Grape), which uses WWV and other time standard stations to perform ionospheric measurements. If you are looking for information on its wideband counterpart, the TangerineSDR, visit https://tangerinesdr.com/. If you would like to join the general HamSCI list, visit https://groups.google.com/g/hamsci instead.

For instructions on building your own Grape 1.0, check out our HardwareX paper: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ohx.2022.e00289
You can find up-to-date information at the Grape 1 landing page: www.hamsci.org/grape1

The Grape 1.1 and 2.0 are currently funded and in active development. However, it will be some time until they are available, so we still advise building a Grape 1.0 rather than waiting. The Grape 1.0 stations we have set up so far are collecting valuable frequency estimation data, and Grape 1.0 hardware will be compatible with future software releases that can collect additional narrowband spectrum data as well.

If you are interested in becoming a Grape maintainer, contact John N8OBJ for a node number. (You do not need to have working hardware to receive a node number.)
