All - I'm experimenting with something here.  If you have signed up to participate in the "Discussion Group" on the hamradioelpaso website, you will receive this e-mail.

September 3rd through 5th - Labor Day Weekend - The annual Balloon Bash will held in Alpine, TX.  A record number of hot-air balloons are expected for this years event. Ham radio support will be supplied by the Big Bend ARC.

 

Saturday, September 10 - VE Testing at K5WPH.
 
Sometime in September - WTRA Quarterly meeting - date and time to be announced - most likely on a week night.

Friday, September 16 - Sun City Amateur Radio Club (K5WPH) Program Night.  The Advanced Course of the SkyWarn training will be held at the clubhouse.  Start time is 7 PM

Saturday, September 17 -  K5WPH

 

Tail Gate, 8 AM at K5WPH.


Saturday, September 17th - The Midland ARC will host a Tail Gate Party at the Midland Club House from 7:00 am until everyone is finished.  There will be coffee and doughnuts early, and Chili Dogs at noon.  Everyone is invited.


September 17th &18th - Cyclefest bicycle event will held in Fort Davis.  Ham radio support will be supplied by the Big Bend ARC.

October 15-16 - The 54th Jamboree On The Air (JOTA)


Saturday, October 22 - North American SOTA day.

 

Saturday, October 29 - Socorro Hamfest, at the NM Fire Fighter's Academy, 600 Aspen St., Socorro, NM - 8 am to 2 pm - http://www.socorroara.org/

This Fall - The West Texas Repeater Association (WTRA) will be having a "Transmitter Hunt" followed by a BBQ.  More details forthcoming.  Stay tuned!
