Hi all,

Hope everyone's Monday went quickly!

I just got off the phone with Greg, our dear landlord, and Stuart did complain to him about the loud noise and late night shenanigans happening this weekend. Albeit mostly out of control, Greg did want to check our side of the story. Luckily, he is reasonable and has our best interests in mind, but he did want to remind us that part of having a successful summer involves not making enemies of the neighbors.

This is a good reminder that we should all follow a few "guidelines" to make sure we remain in the good graces of the Maidstone neighbors:

- Keep talking/noise level in check when coming and going late at night

- No late night hot tubing/deck partying. We will definitely have plenty of time to enjoy the hot tub during happy hour / pre-dinner

- Share houses are technically illegal. Yes, everyone does it, but according to the police, only 10 should be sleeping at 52 Maidstone on any given night. Should the police "stop by," please maintain the party line, 10 people are living in the house

In general, please just be conscious of the neighbors. We all want to have fun, just do so in a non-neighbor provoking manner. Rick and I don't want to end up in housing court and no one wants to lose the house and gain the wrath of Stuart.

That said, it was an epic Weekend 4. Can't wait to be back #outeast on Friday!

Katie

Very well said Katie. Only 1 thing I would like to add - when talking with the neighbors, just be nice to them no matter what. In my experience, a little respect, deference, and kindness goes a very long way with older people. These folks are Greg and Lois's friends when we are not there, so just treat them as if they were your parents' friends. Even if you think they are being entirely rude and unreasonable, it doesn't matter. Put a smile on your face and apologize and be nice anyway!

And for whatever reason, Stuart seems to like me. So feel free to point him in my direction if he is unhappy.

Katie and Amanda and I greatly appreciate your cooperation.

#ragingresponsibly

Rick

PS for everyone wondering, Margaret got some stitches and is hopefully well on the way to recovery. We no longer have a clean record in terms of injuries, but hopefully there will be an a full recovery from this one.
