Subject: Uber Hamptons: Secret Preview Weekend
To: Christopher <christoph...@gmail.com>

Hey Christopher,

We saw you were looking for an Uber in the Hamptons and we wanted you to be the first to know: Uber is going to be out east this summer!

We're not formally launching for another few weeks but we will have some SUVs out there this weekend and the next couple for a secret preview.

Here's the scoop:
- Uber Hamptons is 100% SUVs. You and 5 friends (6 passengers total) can ride in style, every time!
- The rates are more than NYC by about 2x. Check out exact pricing here: https://www.uber.com/hamptons
- We're previewing with a small batch of SUVs, but will have about 5 times as many out there starting in a few weekends.

Have a great summer!

- The Uber NYC Team

This is an exciting development. The hamptons cab market was in dire need of a healthy dose of price competition. I strongly suspect collusion, perhaps we should try reporting the whole lot of them to one of those regulatory agencies or something.

In other news, looping in Alex, and maybe Amanda can add Kristen if you think this discussion merits her attention. Cause it's Friday. Which means that it's about time for a not-quite-obligatory-but-hopefully-not-unwelcome email from your co-host at 52 maidstone lane.

Alongside my better two-thirds, we are very excited to welcome you to what will be the second quasi-crowded weekend of the summer. Shit is going to get real. And, even better, we have guest(s) - which also means that our account balance increases, and we can budget for buying more booze!

I'm currently on a train headed #outeast, so feeling in pretty good spirits, relatively satisfied with myself right now. I'll be playing a round of golf with my dad (#fathersday), but we will be at the house late tonight. You can meet Andy, and then we can take a house vote on whether he's cooler than me. Somehow this will coincide with beverage consumption, details tbd.

But... to get down to important business, I want to briefly touch on the itinerary for the weekend. I am of the opinion that tonight is gonna have to be a #talkhouse night. Lets hope the rain stays away during the critical 11pm-3am time period. And then after that, the forecast is clear. Which means tomorrow we eat drink and be merry throughout the day. I'd be supportive of either a trip to either the #hamptonsprivatebeach that's in our backyard, or Indian wells. Might actually lean IW for change of pace but open to discussion. The morning run might need to happen before that based on last week's experience. Somewhere before / after the beach we will need to get food. Also, importantly, a trip to sloppy tuna seems like it would be an attractive risk-return proposition. Saturday night menu includes the #mtk favorites -- Ruschmeyer's, Surf Lodge, and Memory Motel. I'm personally leaning toward memory, but there are no wrong answers here. And we can split up if there is dissension in the ranks. Additional input on any of these items is encouraged

So... that's really all I have for now, but I am very much looking forward to another great weekend at the Montana with roughly 14 of my closest friends. I hope you all are as well. On this fine Friday, which is also Flag Day, I will leave you with two things: a picture and a quote.

I borderline sprinted through penn station to have time to purchase this train beverage:

And here is a quote from a great defender of liberty and freedom:
"Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude."

Come out with the right attitude.

Happy Friday
Rick
