Hello, my G.G.G.Grandmother was Deborah HAMPTON. She married John
FRAZEE and they lived in Monmouth county, New Jersey. She is buried in
the Quaker Cemetry in Manasquan, Monmouth, N.J. In the 1850 census her
year of birth is recorded as 1809, however my Grandmother told me that
after her death the family discovered she was one year older than her
husband John FRAZEE born 1806, so she may have been born in 1805? I
have found a Thomas HAMPTON,b 1767 and Ruth Ogden HARRIS, b 1771,
Cumberland, N.J. who had a daughter called Deborah. Does anyone have
any information?

It just so happens that my lineage in the Hampton family was from this very same area in N. Jersey. I'd be willing to bet she is distantly related to my family of Hamptons.   James B (Brad) Hampton

Do you have any suggestions about how I could get more information about my G.G.G.Grand mother? I'm from New Zealand which makes things a bit tricky.

You might try Karl Hampton at  ka...@karlhampton.com  He is really up on the Hampton family lineage. He and I are from the same family of Hamptons.

Hi,

The cemetery records have been transcribed by NJGenWeb volunteers
here: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nj/monmouth/cemetery/manasquanq.txt
Pictures of the Meeting House and Cemetery are
here: http://usgwarchives.net/nj/monmouth/manasquanq.htm

Deborah's date of death was 11 March 1893 according to NJGenWeb, but
the records at FamilySearch.org have it as 11 March 1892.

You may find more information in the USGenWeb archives for Monmouth
County, New Jersey.

I hope this helps a little.

Rel@ively,
Patrice
