This is a very important quarterly meeting of OSHNA.  All of you should make a effort to attend.  It will be followed by the February 5, 2008 meeting of this committee.  We will have members of Zoning Staff at the February Meeting to follow up the OSHNA Meeting to explain further how this could impact or not impact local districts.

OSHNA General Membership Meeting January 22, 2008 Dear Ann, There are always many important activity dates in January. We hope that you remember OSHNA's General Membership meeting is on January 22nd. Please don't miss this one, as we will be hearing some exciting news about zoning changes in Seminole Heights.     Cathy Coyle, from the City Zoning Office, will be our guest speaker.   The City of Tampa has decided to make Seminole Heights a test neighborhood for new zoning codes which would make renovation/ restoration/ redevelopment of old commercial corridors easier. This new set of zoning codes is called form-based zoning. Many of the problems that businesses have encountered when trying to come to our neighborhood, are due to the current codes. Ms. Coyle will meet with us to explain what form-based zoning is and how it works. She will bring with her many of the City staff who will be working with us. Ms. Coyle will also explain about the workshops she is setting up so that we can design what our commercial corridors will look like when they are fully re-developed.
