Uhh, so you mentioned talking to Thane Krios while trying to land. I didn't even see Thane (who definitely survived my Suicide Mission), nor did I talk to him. The results were, Kirahhe died (took a bullet), the salarian councilor lived, Kaiden back down without a fight, Udina tried to override the doors and I shot him. Afterward, I saw Thane's name on the Huerta Memorial Hospital map, but when I got there, his name was gone and he was nowhere to be found. I thought this was really odd. Hi i changed a line in the Aftermath. Since Im not registered I'll just explain myself. I recieved literally Zero War Assets from the Salarians (No 3rd fleet, no STG) and Kirahae died on Virmire for my game. Also Thane died on the suicide mission cause I didnt upgrade the Normadys weapons. I cured the Genophage against the Salarins will. Thus the counciler died and I recieved no war assets from the Salarians for both mess ups I had with them. Before I edited it said "It is logical to assume you will still recieve the War Assets even if Kai Leng kills the counciler" but that is not true at all..so I took it out so people are aware. If anyone has anything to the contrary let me know, Im having a heck of a time breaking 5k fleet strength.

During this mission, you're able to talk down the Virmire survivor, provided you have enough Reputation. If at all possible, it would be beneficial if someone were able to find out the value needed and add it to the page. --ZzirBooty 23:02, March 21, 2012 (UTC)

Ok. This is ridiculous. Nowhere on the internet has any information on how to access this door, so it might be worth mentioning this permanently locked door. i'm referring to the door at the bottom of the staircase in the office room, the area right before meeting Kai Leng for the first time. i've scoured the entire mission and there is nothing that opens it. a friend told me that it was a weapon armory and it said "Take one", but he apparently forgot what he was talking about. but this is absolutely ridiculous. Mass effect has never had secrets this big. TheSuperZeldaMan 06:00, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

Is it possible to not say you're no longer with Cerberus in the Mars mission? In my playthrough, I answered all paragon and had previously romanced Ash, but (at least, based on the wording on the dialogue wheel), it seems as though all of the Cerberus-related dialogue options are either "It was a stupid, but necessary decision" (Paragon) or "I used them. Nothing more." (Renegade).

With the exception of the Charm/Intimidate options (which the VS doesn't really hear because he/she is looking around the room for Dr. Eva), none of the dialogue options seem sympathetic to Cerberus at all. Are there any dialogue options that don't say "I'm not with Cerberus"? ShermTank7272 14:26, June 23, 2012 (UTC)

I'm pretty certain that dialogue during this mission explicitly states that Councilor Esheel (the salarian councilor if you didn't save the original Council) is female. I don't think we know either way for Councilor Valern (the original salarian councilor), so using he/she seems correct. It's used other times when the salarian needs a pronoun in the article, at least.--Zxjkl (talk) 01:03, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

There's a bug with the shield pylons on this mission, in C-SEC HQ bay, that instead recharging the shields of your squadmates, they ADD more shields to them. I had Liara with me and noted this somedays ago, she had nothing less than 15400 shields and also their shields become undestructable! It was uterlly funny seeing Liara being hitted non stop by that Atlas mech and nothing happened to her. Brfritos (talk) 03:20, August 12, 2012 (UTC)

"Prerequisite: Priority: Tuchanka Note: Priority: Tuchanka is a "point of no return" for several side missions, which must be completed before the Shroud. Likewise, two missions expire once you begin this one:

Isn't it redundant to have details on Priority: Tuchanka here? IMHO, it doesn't even make sense to mention it here, when the focus should be on the missions expired by this Priority. Also, I'm removing the wrong info about the Grissom academy. --Ygrain (talk) 07:04, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

now, after this mission we do have a supposedly mandatory pending confrontation with ashley or kaidan on the docks if they're still alive and we have the power to send them to hackett or let them join the crew. by using the transit stations to do leviathan missions in bryson's lab, that confrontation will be bypassed entirely - you will appear on the normandy and you will get an email from the virmire survivor as if you sent them to hackett already.

however, they'll not be added to the war assets as can be expected. you can still trigger that confrontation to happen if you used the transit stations to fly directly to the normandy from any citadel location (besides bryson's lab) - or if you did a leviathan mission, dock at the citadel again, then either leave through the docks or use the transit terminals to go to the normandy - either way the confrontation should happen now and you'll still get the power to choose whether the virmire survivor stays or leaves.

Seems to me the "Preparation" section written on this page and others are useless. Everything it covers is covered elsewhere in the article, such as Phantoms being covered when Phantoms are introduced.

I'm on my 5th playthrough of ME3, and I noticed that I sometimes get a 12500-credit Alliance Funding after completing Citadel II and talking to Hackett/Anderson about the coup and Kai Leng. (The funding popped up when I regained control of my character, standing in the war room, after the debriefing with the admirals and the request from Liara.)

Is buying Tennyson for Ashley (or Whiskey for Kaidan) necessary to help talk the VS down, or is simply talking nicely to the VS enough? I want to be able to save Ashley but am afraid that buying Tennyson will make her think I want a Romance (as Ashley_Williams#Romance_3 suggests can occur). I've been in a relationship with Liara since ME and did have the showdown scene where I chose Liara over Ashley.

If purchasing Tennyson is necessary (or helps the standoff but won't trigger a Romance), does it need to be purchased during the first visit, or is any visit OK? Dalton Imperial (talk) 17:30, January 14, 2014 (UTC)

I compiled a table based on information in The Final Hours of Mass Effect 3. The e-documentary contains a quiz where you answer certain yes/no questions about choices relevant to the final confrontation with the Virmire survivor in this mission and see which outcome you get. The relevant section in the article is Priority: The Citadel II#Final Confrontation.

The documentary is an EA publication with BioWare listed as the developer, but I obviously haven't playtested each of the possibilities personally. If it's not deemed suitable for the article as such, I'm going to leave it here for future reference in case anyone's interested and/or the options actually are playtested at some point. Support. There may be a few things in the original version worth incorporating/integrating though - for example it explains better *why* keeping Kirrahe or Thane alive makes a difference, as opposed to just scanning through the table and possibly thinking "huh?" if one wasn't thinking about that part of the mission at the time. Cattlesquat (talk) 15:42, January 23, 2014 (UTC)

Not sure what you mean, Cattlesquat, but to answer your question, that's what I assume "the usual community voting rules" means. The change involves presenting a certain element differently, and adjustments were made in response to feedback after each of the comments, so I don't see why we shouldn't vote. I finished the mission normally (the Virmire survivor lived past the incident with Udina), and I also got the dossier on Kai Leng from Anderson, but Miranda's mail didn't show up (which it did the other times that I have played through the ME trilogy). However, I have met her on the Citadel when she showed up at Dock D24 and advised her to be careful.

EDIT: Just discovered that N7: Cerberus Fighter Base is another prerequisite for Miranda sending that e-mail - along with a few other messages that appear only if you have done this mission (i. e. Garrus, Javik, Joker, and Liara). I have updated the list item concerning Miranda under Aftermath accordingly.

Is there any possible way to change Ashley/Kaidan's trust level with gibbed or something like that? Because I've done everything possible listed in the section to get Kaidan's liking yet his trust is treating me as if I treat him like crap. Is there anyway at all? --Kryalis (talk) 11:22, August 17, 2016 (UTC)

I believe there to be an error in calculating the trust level for the confrontation with the VS. It is listed that lowering weapons via the paragon interrupt gives +1 point. But I believe using the Renegade interrupt (where you signal your squad mates to raise their weapons) also gives +1.

I have a play through where if I chose the renegade dialog and then use the renegade interrupt, it has the VS (in this case Ashley) immediately side with me. However, if I instead I choose the renegade dialog and do not take the renegade interrupt, there is a reputation check. This shows that the renegade (not just the paragon) interrupt increases the trust level (I assume by 1).

Regardless of your progression through the main game, you'll be facing the entire Reaper ground force roster here. Put light emphasis on stripping shields, medium emphasis on crowd control, and heavy emphasis on stripping armor and causing fire and biotic combos.
