Lucky streak continues!

As you guys know, I won a nice temperature-controlled soldering
station at the Boxboro hamfest. While there, I paid $39 cash to renew
my ARRL membership for a year,
and got a free "Hints & Kinks" book as an incentive for re-upping.

A few days ago, a 2012 ARRL Handbook arrived in the mail...odd,
because I only renewed for a year, and the Handbook was an incentive
for renewing for 3 years. Yesterday,
I got my new ARRL membership card, and it said I was good through
2015. Somebody obviously made a clerical error.

I called ARRL to advise them of their error, and offered to send the
Handbook back. After consulting with her manager, the customer
support rep said, "Thank you for
your honesty. We've decided just to let things stand--your membership
is good through 2015, and you can keep the Handbook with our
compliments."

How about that!
