Anybody heard of this by AE9RB David Turnbull? http://ae9rb.com

Apparently, it's very similar to KB9YIG Tony Parks' SoftRock RXTX
Ensemble Transceiver Kit http://kb9yig.com (which is not available)

It's interesting, but AE9RB sure doesn't give many details.

Also, the SoftRock RXTX Ensemble transceiver (which I use on 40, 30, 20 and
17 M, with receive on 80 meters and SW as well) is indeed available from
KB9YIG. He kits them up and posts availability on his Web site.

If you want one, the best approach is to make his Web site your browser's
default, so when you open your browser you go to Tony's site. If the kit
you're seeking is available, you can snag it. I understand KB9YIG, Tony, has
sold over 40,000 SoftRocks to date!

Actually, all the doc is available by following the three links on the
bottom of this page:

(Admittedly, it's not easy to find the info by starting from his home page...)

Hey, looking over the schematic, I see this Peaberry SDR is very close to a
SoftRock---but it includes a 24 bit stereo PCM3060 codec chip. Most cool!
Its use eliminates the need for two sound card digitizers.

Nonetheless, these entry-level SDRs, although fabulous very low-cost rigs,
are somewhat poor for CW.

Even with a very fast PC there's always significant latency. It shows up as
delays in R/T and T/R transitions. That delay can be somewhat tolerated on
SSB and PSK and some other half-dux modes, but it is a constraint that may
or may not be satisfactory.

Hello Thomas,

Can I get this programmer device back? I may have
a project in the near future where I want to use
that programmer.

Best regards.
