Dear Hammer users,

The next pending release of Hammer (v1.5) will include substantial upgrades including the ability to allow ''specialized'' reweighting into user-defined Wilson coefficient subspaces of arbitrary dimension. This will enable much faster and more memory-efficient fitting for simplified New Physics models etc, especially for simultaneous WC and form factor parameter fitting applications.

These upgrades require minor changes to the API, so that we plan to deprecate the following methods:

    specializeWCInWeights
    specializeWCInHistogram
    resetSpecializationInHistogram

The functionality of these methods will be easily reproducible within a suite of new, more general WC "specialization" methods and underlying framework. However, to ensure proper coverage of backward compatibility issues at the API level and solicit general feedback, we’d be grateful if users could fill out this brief (< 5 min) survey <https://forms.gle/6Tg7WqJNaVgRJgqz8>, even if you are not currently using these methods.

As usual please feel free to forward this on to any Hammer users who are not on this mailing list.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!
