Greetings Neighbors, Partners, Members and Friends of SPROUT,
On Sunday we enjoyed a fabulous trip to Jordan, MN where we toured the
Cedar Summit Creamery and the Gysland Brothers Vegetable Farm. It was
a bountiful experience in many ways, and we returned back to Hamline
with our spirits renewed from the countryside and a van full of excess
produce from the Gysland farm. We would like to share this abundance
with you as we host an informal fall feast picnic dinner comprised of
the cornucopia of goodies that we were sent home with (cauliflower,
brocolli, green beans, carrots, beets, winter squash, tomatoes,
melons, leeks, onions, potatoes, oh my!) to celebrate the end of our
first summer of SPROUT existence and the beginning of fall. The fare
will be mostly (if not completely) vegetarian. We are happy to
provide the food, but request that you bring your own seat (chair/
blanket) and beverage of choice (we'll of course have water on hand)
if so desired. If you can provide your own utensils, that would be
helpful too. Donations will be accepted, but not expected!
