hey all,

i stopped by the hamline midway library yesterday and reserved the auditorium for documentary watching purposes.  prof davies has three films that i'd like to see (the only one i can remember by name right now is 'king corn') and fit in great with the whole SPROUT philosophy.  so, we thought that better than watching them alone at our meetings, we should invite other students and community members for public screenings, and what better place for that then the public library (while it still exists :( that is).

at our last meeting, we decided on wednesday nights.  lo and behold, wednesdays were open on the library's schedule.  we have APRIL 1st and APRIL 15th from 6PM to 8:45PM.  there will be a screening on wednesday april 8th as well, but we'll do this one on campus somewhere (but still open to the public!!).  i'll get the names of films from prof davies and we can decide what order we'll do them.

spring break is coming up, and then our first film will be shown the very next wednesday we return to campus.  so... not a lot of time for adviretising.  i will mention this at the MightyMidway meeting tomorrow night and invite them, and if anyone goes to the thing on saturday could you let everyone there know, too?  as far as on campus, maybe we could throw up some fliers right away after break.  anyone interested in making a flier during your spring break??  longshot, i know.

anyway, i'm glad we're doing this and i think it'll work out well.  let's just make sure we get both students and neighbors to show up!

ps, we can have food at the library, we just need to be respectful and clean up afterwards.
