In this this issue:
West Midway Area Industrial Strategy Open House
June 25, 7:30-9:30 a.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Goodwill/Easter Seals building, 553 North Fairview Ave.
As residents, business owners and members of the Hamline Midway community, your opinions on development, infrastructure and the future of this area are indispensable. Please attend one of the upcoming open houses hosted by the West Midway Area Industrial Study Task Force to gather feedback on their recently released development strategy to improve industrial development in the West Midway industrial area. The strategy calls for a Business Collaboration to help stabilize and grow existing businesses while attracting new investments. Additionally, it calls for the City to improve its permitting and regulations, intensify industrial business outreach, and improve streets for optimum truck access from the freeway system. The strategy also includes recommendations for land assembly, urban design of new industrial development, and improved pedestrian access to the new Green Line LRT.

Help Needed Delivering Meals to Homebound Seniors
Store To Door, a local non-profit grocery shopping and delivery service for homebound seniors, needs your help! Volunteer Shoppers work out of the St Paul Midway Cub Foods store, shopping and preparing orders on weekday mornings between 6-10 a.m. Volunteer Order Takers volunteer from home, calling clients from their homes each week and entering orders into an online ordering system. Unfamiliar With Stormwater Pollution? Great!
Capitol Region Watershed District (CRWD) and Hamline University’s Center for Global Environmental Education (CGEE) are conducting a focus group to gather feedback on how people respond to stormwater pollution information to help design new educational displays.
· Looking for people who are unfamiliar with water pollution issues.
· Participants will receive $35.00 and a light dinner
· The focus group will take place Tuesday evening, June 25, at Oxford Community Center.
