Streamlined Registration for National Night Out in St. Paul
It’s now easier than ever to host a NNO event in your St. Paul neighborhood. Join millions of Americans all over the country for this year’s night out against crime. Now you can register to host an event in your neighborhood online.
The St. Paul NNO
website is up and running where the community can go to find all of the information as well as REGISTER on line for the first time. If they request "special units" ie mounted or K-9, the request will go over to City Wide Services automatically. Residents do NOT need to write a letter to the Chief anymore and hopefully this register online option will make things so much easier for them. They DO need to go through the permit process as always with getting 60% of your neighbors’ signatures, have the doc notarized, and send the hard copy to Community Services as in past years.
The first 25 residents that register and have not had an event in their neighborhood will receive a first time party pack delivered to them the week before NNO, August 6, 2013.
Stay Cool by Getting Energy Smart this Summer
Did you know that attic and wall insulation can actually keep your home cooler in the summer? Hundreds of your Saint Paul neighbors have made their homes more comfortable and reduced their utility bills using the Energy Smart Homes program from the nonprofit Neighborhood Energy Connection (NEC). Energy Smart Homes is a City-sponsored ZERO interest financing tool. Even better, as a deferred loan, most borrowers won’t make a single payment for 15 years! Take care of your home using the best program around to finance new insulation, boilers, furnaces, and water heaters. Funds are limited so be sure to call the NEC today.
