Groundswell to Offer Founder’s Club Memberships

Starting on Wednesday, February 6, Groundswell will begin selling Founder's Club Memberships for   $1,000.  Membership dues entitle you to one free beer, glass of wine, or brewed coffee everyday for the rest of your life, or Groundswell's life, whichever ends first!  There is a legal agreement form to fill out.  So stop by Groundswell (corner of Thomas & Hamline) with your $1,000 and become a Founder's Club Member!  For more information, please contact Seth McCoy at seth...@me.com.

Hamline Professor Seeks Neighborhood Volunteers for Student Film Class

Professor David Davies in the anthropology department at Hamline University, and a Hamline Midway resident, is seeking folk from the neighborhood to participate in  student documentary projects in his visual anthropology class.  Students in the class will build skills in basic documentary research while connecting with neighbors and learning about everyday life in the Hamline Midway.  Last spring, the class worked with over two dozen local volunteers to produce a 30-minute documentary that screened at the Turf Club.

If you are interested in discussing life in the Hamline Midway neighborhood, sharing some of your life and experiences, and learning about what Hamline anthropology students are up to, please contact David at dda...@hamline.edu as soon as possible (ideally before February 10 so that students can better plan their work, but volunteers are welcome anytime between now and April).
