First off, Merry Christmas.

Secondly, Haml has just hit 1.0!!! Actually, we finished this branch a
few weeks ago, but decided to hold back the release as a Christmas
present to our fellow Hamlites! There aren't that many new features,
but mostly just cleaning up the code and making it a bit more
bullet-proof. More tests, etc.

You will notice a new tag for 1.0 in the repository. And you may also
notice that /trunk is now the development branch.

We are going to stick with 1.0+ for only maintenance issues, as our
active 1.5 development is already occuring in /trunk. Basically, 1.5 is
our branch welcoming in Sass to the family. But, he needs to grow up a
bit before its ready for prime time.

Anyhow, we do recommend that you put your production boxes onto the new
1.0 tags as nothing should break and it should only help your product.
Don't go out of your way to do it (if it ain't broke), but on your next
maintenance release of your product, I would upgrade.

Who says Ruby software never hits 1.0???

Technical release notes to follow once I nap off some of this ham I
shoved down my throat this morning.

Love,
Your Papi,
Hampton.
