sass on apache?

I've scoured this group and exhausted the google, so i'll ask straight
out:

Has anyone gotten sass working in a non-rails environment. I don't
mind installing ruby and the gems-- It'd just be super sweet to get my
apache generating css from sass when the timestamps dictate. Even if
it's just for my development environment.

I've been currently forced to use a non-rails env, but I would still
love to be able to bring in sass if possible-- much like the DVR, I
will have a really hard time not using sass now that I've used it --
it really is a game changer.

Even if you can point me in the right direction, I'd be much
appreciative.

Chris Eppstein's Compass project
(http://wiki.github.com/chriseppstein/compass) has a command-line
utility that will watch a directory of Sass files and compile them to
CSS when they're updated.

There is also my old blog post about using Haml in Apache. Can be used
for sass just the same, but do note that its just a draft and might
need some work:
