Over the years, I've seen several examples of hybrids between these two species, with most falling into variations of the classic Brewster's or Lawrence's hybrids. Today while birding in North Halton, I briefly caught sight of what would have been a classic
Golden-Winged warbler—except it's head was pure gray, lacking the golden crown plumage. Sadly it didn't stick around too long for a picture, although it does seem territorial (hopefully). Anyone else notice this hybrid?
