Hi - deadline for input May 4. 

Clearly the current closure of portion of Safari Road prevents roadkill (I have seen dead Sora there) and it is much better environmental option that road be permanently closed. Note - the road has been temporarily closed last couple years due to water over road. 

The current recommendation is to spend huge amount of money to reopen road. 

Please write to councillors/mayor to give input!

The cost is estimated at between $8.1 - $9.3 million. Please send an email to Councillors by noon on Monday, May 4 and urge them to vote for option #2 - permanent closure of this small section of the road where species at risk have been identified.
