This group is for reports of rare and unusual birds appearing in the greater Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Affiliated with the 
Hamilton Naturalists' Club and its 
Bird Study Group, the email group allows members to share significant bird sightings from across the 
Hamilton Study Area, a circle with a 25 mile radius centred on Dundurn Castle. (A list of articles about popular birding locations in the area can be found 
here.)
This list is not intended for identification questions, especially from beginner birders. If you have ID questions consult the 
Hamilton Birding Community group or send your questions to 
hamilton.birds@gmail.com.
If you are interested in learning about birding locations in the Hamilton area, the Hamilton Naturalists' Club website has a 
list and an 
article about where to go birding at different times of year. You can also look through eBird's 
Hotspot Explorer for the area.
