Volunteer - Times and details for Pride Week 2018

Hello Awesome people, 

Some of you will have received a call last weekend about your availability to help with the set up and pack down of three of our major events. This email is to follow up with further information, for those people we couldn't get a hold off and to let everyone know when we need volunteers.

Firstly thank you so much for submitting a volunteer form or writing your name down on a list at one of our events/meetings. I've also sent this email to everyone on our mailing list. We couldn't do what we do without the input and help of our community.  If you are able to help and you haven't already talked to someone on our team about your availability please reply to this email. 

We have three events we need your help with. Setting up the events will involve putting up decorations and shifting things. Packing up will include taking down decorations, resetting spaces and some cleaning up. The times below are estimates of how long we thing set up and pack up for each event will take, they may be shorter or they could take longer. Its highly dependent on how many volunteers there are. Please feel free to bring your friends and to help out on the day. The more the merrier 

Pride Preview 

Summary: The Pride Preview is an introduction to pride week, who we are, where we’ve come from and where we're going!  

Location: Garden Place - Victoria Street

Set up times: 8:00 am-10:00 am 

Event time: 11:00 am-1:00 pm 

Pack up time: 1:00 pm-1:30 pm 

Report: To Shane Way by the stage bit / amphitheater. 

Note: Basically we just want to rainbow bomb garden place. We will leave some decorations up throughout the week. But some things will need to be taken down and transported to the Meteor for the opening party set up. 

Opening party - Ending HIV Presents 10’s 10’s 10’s Across the Board

Summary: The opening party is a celebration of Hamilton Prides 10th anniversary as well as the official kick of party for pride week 

Location: The Meteor

Set up times: 10:00 am-5:00 pm 

Event time: 7:00 pm-12:00 am 

Pack up time: 12:00 am-12:45 am 

Report: To Rhiannon and Kate at the front entrance of the Meteor 

Note: We will encourage people to stay behind and help out before they move on to the next venue to party. The Meteor has an event the next day so all pack up and cleaning needs to be done the night off. 

Mr & Ms Fountain City

Summary: Mr Gay Waikato & Miss Drag Waikato used to be the biggest events on our Social Calendar, so we are bringing them back for the 10 year anniversary of Hamilton Pride Incorporated. 

Location: Biddy Mulligans bar, Hood Street. 

Set up times: 10:00 am-5:00 pm 

Event time: 7:00 pm-3:00 am 

Pack up time: 3:00 am-4:45 am and 8:00 am-10:00 am the next day if needed 

Report: To Rhiannon and Shane at the front entrance of Biddys
