November Update

Thank you for signing up to learn more about Stop Fitzhugh Concert Venue. The proposed 5,000-seat outdoor concert and entertainment venue has the potential to harm Barton Creek, bring traffic, noise and light pollution to nearby communities.

Concert venue update

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has not yet issued comments about the wastewater permit based on the January 29 community meeting. We will alert members as soon as we receive any news. Encourage your friends and neighbors to join our coalition to stay up to date.

2 Years of Milestones

Time sure does fly when you’re on a mission! Thanks to the hard work and

dedication of all our supporters, we’ve achieved countless milestones.

Whether you attended the coalition kick-off in November of 2022,

participated in TCEQ public meetings to voice your concerns about the

wastewater permits or signed our petition to advocate for road safety on

Fitzhugh Road, just know we couldn’t have made it this far without you!

Petition Update

One year and 2,659 signatures later, we are thrilled to announce that the

Petition to Stop Fitzhugh Concert Venue: Road Safety Audit & Traffic

Impact Analysis (TIA) has come to a close.

We were able to advocate for a Fitzhugh Road Safety Study that addressed

topics beyond the developer Blizexas’ initial TIA report. Thanks to citizen

input, Hays County amended the bond language to focus on much-needed

safety improvements to Fitzhugh Road rather than expansion.

The work is far from over, but please join us in celebrating this milestone for

the cause.
