The proposed 5,000-seat outdoor concert and entertainment venue has the potential to harm Barton Creek, bring traffic, noise and light pollution to nearby communities. The Latest TCEQ Update! Dripping Springs News recently reported that despite opposition from environmental groups and residents, the proposed 5,000-seat Fitzhugh Concert Venue could still move forward.   It is important to note that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Response to Comments does not authorize the construction or operation of the proposed concert venue. The TCEQ commissioners must still consider and approve the permit.   According to the “protestant information” on TCEQ’s website, there have been a total of 14 requests for reconsideration/rehearing, 80 hearing requests, 89 public meeting requests, 405 written comments, 232 people added to the mailing list and 65 oral comments given at a public meeting.
