Attached is an interesting article from the August issue of Community Impact. Note what appears to be two potential school sites along or near Reimers Peacock Road. Also note the future high school slated for the tract across Highway 71 from Falconhead West.

In addition to these LTISD plans, Bee Cave has a new road identified in their Comprehensive Plan that will extend south from the 137 acre tract where the bus barn is currently being built on H71 and will intersect w/ HPR about where the old fireworks stand used to be located, sort of across from the Stringer's driveway. To get a better look go to the Bee Cave website and follow the link to the Comprehensive Plan and go to Maps.

I noticed that the 4 "future" schools are on those tracts that LTISD has already purchased and that includes the Reimer's/Peacock Rd tracts; however, the platted lots and apartments that are expected to generate the need for these new schools are not on the Reimer's Peacock Rd nor are they on Hamilton Pool Road.  I'd like to see exactly where the purchased Reimer's/Peacock tracts are located - nearer to 71 or HPR.  Can we determine how much they paid for those tracts?

Thanks, Gene.  I have to be out of town but will check with LTISD when I get back about how they make their school location decisions.  The school at 71 and Hamilton Pool Road could not be at a more dangerous intersection physically and also in terms of high pollution levels.  The school is a bottleneck for Hamilton Pool Road residents.  The speed limit should be reduced for the safety of the children.  At least that school is located on a road.  Do they expect children and their parents to hike the Reimers-Peacock trail?  There is no road there and as far as I know there won't be one.  I wonder who has told them otherwise.  Even if there were one, is it their intention to create another bottleneck for HPR residents?  Hope
