JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Integrator will have in-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. He/She must be knowledgeable of data integration tools, and possess the ability to use these tools efficiently within a fast-paced environment. The Candidate will be required to work with large volumes of unstructured data providing ETL (extract, transform and load) design, development and support. In addition, he/she must have the ability to work with various groups to identify and propose alternative solutions to the customer. They must also have data integration development and support experience for moving large volumes of data from various sources into the various destinations after significant cleansing, transformation and processing. The ideal Candidate will understand what questions the Business wants to ask and why.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct job duties and responsibilities according to BI Life Cycle methodology.
· Extract data from various sources, transform data according to business rules and load to the target Enterprise Data Warehouse or data marts.
· Conducts analysis, scope and time estimation to develop and deliver data integration solutions.
· Develops and tests for extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes.
· Defines and captures metadata and rules associated with ETL processes.
· Adapts ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business rules.
· Adhere to standards and strategic objectives, and meets committed timeframes and schedules.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent Management Information Systems Degree
- 3 years as an applications developer, with significant time as Data Integrator (Informatica preferred) developer.
- 3 years working with UNIX / Linux operating system.
- Experience with relational databases such as Teradata, including strong SQL skills.
- Demonstrated experience in data integration in Data Warehouse setting.
- Experience with data warehouse lifecycles and methodologies.
- Good verbal/written communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office Professional Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to establish/maintain customer trust/confidence.
- Ability to work independently or as a team player to produce effective results in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and confident.
- Demonstrable customer focus attitude.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Required to participate in rotation for 24/7 on-call support.
