Hi Folks,

I'd like to make some much-needed updates to the documentation. Looking around the interwebs, there appears to be concerns as to whether Hamcrest is still alive. It doesn't help that the page at http://hamcrest.org/JavaHamcrest/ has some outdated information:
  • The Getting Started page links to a page in Google Code that is marked as "Archived", and has examples based on JUnit 3(!)
  • There is no clear guidance on which version to use. The is a link to the HamcrestDistributables page on Google Code (also archived), but it refers to distributables that are not released in the latest version (2.0.0.0).
I'll raise a pull request shortly.

Before I do, I wanted to discuss where the docs go. Currently, the website is stored on the gh-pages branch. I'm not keen on this, as is makes the documentation invisible from the main branch. GitHub allows you to change the location of the published pages (from https://github.com/hamcrest/JavaHamcrest/settings). How do people feel about merging the gh-pages branch onto into the /docs folder in master?

Cheers,
Joe
