Today I received the following message regarding volunteering at the Grissom Air & Space Expo:
Brian,
Rachel is wonderful and she is definitely recruiting for airshow volunteers. It would be for volunteerism for (most likely) working the concessionaire booths. I wanted to clarify that we are good on the communication/radio side of the house but would absolutely love all the volunteers that can help this wonderful airshow community effort.
It is a fundraising opportunity, so please let her know if you have a group that is interested in doing that. Even if not able to support that, we would love you and anyone in your group to visit the airshow one or both of the days- should be a wonderful time. (crossing my fingers for good weather)
V/R,
Joni L. Friar, Major, USAF
Grissom Air & Space Expo Director
With that, I will not be coordinating any ARES or amateur radio communications involvement for the event; however, I still encourage you to go to the event and volunteer if you can.
Attached are a couple documents including the volunteer application that you need to complete and send back by June 15, 2026.
Thank you,
