Hi,
I want to quickly share a quick and easy way to evaluate Halyard in a full scale. Today I've verified that Halyard is fully working on Amazon EMR (Elastic MapReduce) clusters with enabled HBase. Yes, you see it right - Amazon EMR is not just a MapReduce but also many other Hadoop and related applications, including HBase (see attached screenshot). One of the complicated tasks - to setup a Hadoop cluster with HBase, can be now performed in 10 minutes from a simple web form. As a bonus, Halyard is fully operational on this Amazon Hadoop distribution and EMR configuration. I've tested it on Amazon emr-5.2.0 (with HBase backed by HDFS) on i2.xlarge hardware instance types. I'll add more detailed tutorial later to the Halyard documentation.
Thanks, enjoy and share :)
