Hi I'd like to test Halyard for an existing project and for incoming new projects.
Due to lack of time, I'd like to start testing it focusing on the functional part and the specific features, avoiding all the possible configurations, especially those related to the low-level part with hadoop etc. If the platform fits our need I could propose it, and then study the most proper way to install it on a dedicated stack, but as a second step.

Does anybody have experience using Halyard with docker, or there are docker images already built?

thanks in advance to anyone who could share some suggestion on that

Alfredo

Hi Alfredo!

To run everything on one PC use docker-compose-standalone.yml, to deploy on several nodes in docker swarm first deploy hbase in swarm https://github.com/big-data-europe/docker-hbase/tree/master/distributed -- and then deploy halyard as a service on any of the nodes (see run-webapps make target in docker-halyard repo).

Hope you will find it useful,
Ivan Ermilov.

Hi Ivan

I'm back today at office so I'm not yet sure when I'll be able to test it, but I'd like to be able to try it before next week, thanks very much!

Alfredo
