Why should I go to church?

When you received Jesus Christ as your Savior, you began a relationship not only with Him but with other Christians. They are your brothers and sisters in Christ. We meet to encourage each other and to follow Christ together. Hebrews 10:25 says, “Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near” (NLT).

The Bible describes church as a group of Christians gathered together. Church can be a rich and rewarding experience. Why?

  • By hearing the Bible preached, you can grow in your understanding of God.

  • You can ask questions and study Scripture with others.

  • You can worship God with other Christ followers. Worship means praising and thanking God for who He is and what He has done for you.

  • As you worship, learn, and serve with other Christians, you can form deep, lasting friendships.
