I ran ./activate_matlab.sh and activated it through the license file AND login into MathWorks online. I deleted the installation .lic in R2020a/license/ and created a new one. I tried creating a license file with every mac address I could find. Nothing works. I keep getting this error. Only once I managed to use Matlab, which was right after installing it. Then after the first time closing it I'm I have been stuck on this error for 2 days. Please help me.

MATLAB is a high-level language and interactive environment that enables you to perform computationally intensive tasks faster than with traditional programming languages such as C, C++, and Fortran. It integrates mathematical computing, visualization, and a powerful language to provide a flexible environment for technical computing. The open architecture makes it easy to use MATLAB and its companion products to explore data, create algorithms, and create custom tools that provide early insights and competitive advantages.
NJIT MATLAB license is renewed annually. If you are getting a warning about the expiration of the license please, click on the message that pops up to update the license, or follow the instructions below to reactivate MATLAB.
If the installation has already expired, you will be prompted to activate when attempting to launch MATLAB. As long as the activation finishes successfully it will roll over to the new license file once the old one expires. You might continue to see the expiration warning in MATLAB until the old file expires.
The software has a 30-day grace period after the official end date of the MATLAB license on August 1. Users who do not reactivate after August 30 will be prompted to reactivate once they launch the program.
When the option Prompt when editing driversthat do not exist is selected, if you open the MATLAB InstrumentDriver Editor while specifying a driver file that does not exist, you get a prompt asking if you want to create a new driver file.

Set the default size for these character arrays in the Preferencesdialog box to ensure that they are large enough to accommodate anystring returned to them by any device object functions. You can reducethe default character array size to avoid unnecessary memory usage,as long as they are still large enough to accommodate any expectedstrings.
Once an account is created, it can be used for downloading, updating, and licensing MATLAB on the user's Mac and Windows and Linux workstations. And, through the same account, the user can use MATLAB Mobile (a free app) on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
The campus site license expires in December each year, so users renew their licenses annually around that time. Choose "Licensing" from MATLAB's Help menu and choose Update Current License. If not updated by the end of December, a user must reactivate the license by running the computer's Activate MATLAB utility, or take the opportunity to upgrade to the latest version by downloading it from the personal MathWorks account.
With contributions from the College of Engineering and other colleges, ITS has obtained a University-wide software license for a number of MathWorks products that are now available to U-M students at no cost. MATLAB, Simulink, and 26 other MathWorks products and toolkits are included. The software and license keys are available now for download by U-M students only. Details on how to download the software can be found at this ITS website. Be sure you register with your @umich.edu email address. Once activated, the license key will expire each year and qualified students will need to reactivate it annually. Note that this software is not for use by faculty or staff, who still need to contact ITS Software Licensing and Distribution for license codes.
