Tis the season! 

I mentioned this during the meetup on Monday and thought I'd just throw a link out here so you didn't think I was crazy.  I try to do something related every holiday season. This year I'm hacking a small robot snowman to respond using a small factor esp8266 (I think it's technically an esp-01s?)

Thanks for that Doug. Actually, once I got home after the meetup, I looked into CheerLights, joined their discord, and wired some up. Wild stuff.

Thanks for sharing Doug! 

I’ve been using WLED (https://kno.wled.ge/) for the past few years on my home brew espressif LED controllers, since the WLED integrates so well with my home automation system. Now it like I can enable Cheerlight support through MQTT! I’ll have to give that a try over the next few weeks!
