Hello there.

Lately, I have been going to the Victoria Apartments (slated for
demolition) to do some photography. I've managed to quickly go inside
the apartments and recorded a few rooms on video. After quick
editing, I would like to share this video with everyone.

It's a shame that historic buildings are going to be gone forever
since they have accumulated stories and memories of the growth of
Halifax as a city.

Hi,

I just wanted to say thanks for sharing this video - you did an excellent job on this. I have linked the video on the Hollis/Morris page on my website.  The whole block of Hollis/Morris/Terminal Road/Lower Water Street was once a vibrant, busy area. There were the Tram Car terminal, several hotels (Acadian, Gainsboro, Novascotian, Victoria, Grosvenor and one other I can't recall the name right now) and many businesses.

Thanks again,

Todd Mullins

Hello Todd!

Thank you very much for your email.  So far, the Victoria Apartments have resonated with a lot of people.  I'd just wanted to share the video since it had been the last time to be in the buildings.  Everyone should acknowledge the history of the Victoria Apartments; contributing to the development of Halifax.  I am happy that you've enjoyed it.

Cheers!

Michael Lei
