I received a reply from Dugas Bees regarding my enquiry on whether I can circulate their name with regard to removal of bumblebees. See below.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for reaching out.
Yes, absolutely, you can give my name out. The only thing that I would ask you to mention is that there is a modest fee, and we give free quotes.
Our teenagers (14 & 16) do the removals, they were trained by Peter and he used to pay them, but now that the CMM bumblebee program has ended, they need to charge for their services. They are always supervised and are very professional.

Hi,
I am on both the NSBA swarm capture list and also part of the Halifax Honey Bee Society. In both capacities, I receive numerous calls regarding bumblebees. In the past I have only been able to advise people to try to tough it out for the season and then seal the entrance in November to prevent recolonization in following years. In the last couple of years, however, Peter Steiner and the Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq have offered a much better alternative, but he/they no longer offer their service. I was, however, given your name as another bumblebee removal service.
Can we give out your name when people inquire? Also is there an additional information that you would want for me to tell potential clients?
Roger
