I've uploaded the GPS summary log for the entire mission (well,
cropped the boring stuff out). It's in Excel format.

I just realized that the first balloon was logged once every second,
but the second balloon was only logged once every 20 seconds
(approximately). Thus, if anyone wants to do an extrapolation, there
is a chance that the second balloon got higher than the first if you
extrapolate the slopes just before and after burst. In 20 seconds, you
may get an extra 400-500 feet!

Have fun...

Thank you, that looks like a great summary. Although just to make sure, the "elapsed" time is time from release in minutes, correct? It looks like the "NXT Balloon" logged at least initally once every two seconds based on that. And the elevation is in meters.

I still am.... I'm trying to get my data sorted out so that even if I don't have final results, I've got the data out there for all the teams. I fear getting the pressure altitude data and the GPS data to match is nearly hopeless however.

I had a cut and paste error in the GPS log of Energizer balloon. I'm
uploading the corrected version now.

Jeff uploaded a 3D map onto the mobileme gallery. You can see how
closely the 3 GPS tracks are. Pretty neat.

Now if I can just get Google Earth to do the same thing....

Brian,
Yes, the elevation in in meters and the "elapsed" is the Mission
Elapsed Time from the release of the first balloon. The second balloon
was released about 49 minutes later.
