Elhamdollah Rab El Alamin, yesterday was a year since my beloved wife
Fatima Kasem passed away (May Allah SWT bless her soul), and I was
thinking did I learned my lesson or not. The answer for me was;
NOOOOO!!!!
Unfortunately, We tend to think that we are constantly doing Islamic
work, when the impact of our work to the community that we live in is
still impaired. To get a better understanding of what we need to do, I
remembered a great story I heard about our beloved Sister Rehab. This
story is called The Bench Story . The main lesson behind is : We
have to take it upon our selves to change our community to the better
and to be The Best Citizens. Another story I heard about Sister
Fatima Kasem, is called NEVER GIVE UP ON PEOPLE , the main lesson
behind is regardless how people act , we always need to be there for
them.
The stories Mashallah for both sisters is countless (May Allah bless
their souls), and to make this short and to the point, we all need to
get to work. These projects are Simple, Easy, Can be done on your
Own. They are intend to have a direct impact on the community that we
live in (Muslims and non Muslims). They can be anything from sending
your neighbor a small gift to Volunteering as a fire fighter (if
that's even the most we can do lol).
How we going to do this:
We have a Google doc where everyone can share ideas about new
project.Projects will be done in teams or by individuals.
Our theme is " Get Everyone Involved"
Certain projects that needs funding can be inshallah funded by the
"Rae-foundation" Inshallah we are planing on starting Immediately
Jazakom Allah kol khair for taking the time to read this and please
lets make this a Sadaqa for the beloved sisters. Attached please check
the link and Write your idea :)
