Halalan 2.0 UI Design Contest

I'm thinking of holding a design contest for the UI of 2.0. The
purpose of this design contest is to help us in the UI design which we
are lacking (huhu) and to hopefully, recruit new developers. Below is
a draft of an announcement. The prize will be coming from Halalan
donations which amount to 23.55 USD as of today.

Halalan 2.0 UI Design Contest

Prize: A Halalan T-shirt!

Rules: All submitted materials must be compatible with GPLv3.

Eligibility: Only those living or who have contacts in the Philippines
are eligible to enter. This is due to the awarding of the prize (no
funds for shipping).

Deadline: 23:59:59, Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Guidelines: Submission must contain at least 3 pages: login, voter,
admin. The content of the voter page must include a sample ballot.
The content of the admin page must include a form and a table. See

I read the paper about the Helios voting system recently. It made me
ponder if we should make Halalan 2.0 a single-page web application.
With this approach, we'll have more control on what's shown and what
shouldn't be (e.g. votes of previous voter).
