Scheduled start/stop elections

Hello,

I can't find an option for scheduling the start/stop of an election.
Is there a way to do this? Right now I can only start/stop by going to
the Elections module and clicking the stop/start links.

If this feature is not available, is there a plan to implement it or
are there technical issues involved that would make this impossible?

None. The only method as of now is the manual start/stop.

There's a plan to implement it.
