Hi Darwin,

 

I needed to get my mind off my work temporarily so I did some sanity test on Halalan Release. Here are some issues for your review. I am not sure what type of scenarios you would consider as bugs/issues but here are some (most of which are just enhancements – low priority):

Halalan - Release
HLR-1	Candidates	1. Go to Candidates tab 2. Select <Default> under View drop down menu * Candidates are displayed for the selected Election 4. Select a candidate to delete (Hit X mark).	Page will refresh but will maintain the selected view <Default Election View>	Page refreshes but reverts to the blank screen where no Election is selected (See screenshot attached). Suggestion: Can we keep the current view? It would be quite tedious/confusing for users to select Election View again and verify if the candidate was indeed deleted under the respective party. Also no confirmation message is displayed that the candidate was successfully deleted. Can we provide one?	Failed
HLR-2	Candidates and Voters	1. Go to Candidates tab 2. Add a new candidate 3. Populate First Name and Last Name field until maximum field length 1. Go to Voters tab 2. Add a new voter 3. Populate First Name and Last Name field until maximum field length	Same field length validation exists for each respective fields.	There is a difference in field length validation. Under Voters tab: Username field on Voters tab appears to have a longer field length validation (63) than First Name and Last Name. In reality, this is expected to be shorter. Last Name - 31x First Name - 63x Username - 63x Suggestion: Last Name - 63x First Name - 63x Username - 31x - same for First Name and Last Name when adding a Candidate.	Failed
HLR-3	Candidates	1. Go to Candidates tab 2. Add a new candidate. Populate only the mandatory fields. 3. Hit Add Candidate button.	Confirmation message appears that candidate has been added successfully.	No confirmation message. Can we add one?	Failed
HLR-4	Candidates and Parties	1. Go to Parties tab 2. Add a new party. 3. Add a photo for that party but select a file of an incorrect file type (i.e. *.exe). *Let's say the user accidentally selected an incorrect file	File format invalid error message appears.	The error message that appers seems inaccurate - it says 'The upload path does not appear to be valid'. See screenshot. Can we change it to a more appropriate one?	Failed
HLR-5	Candidates	1. Go to Candidates tab 2. Under View drop down menu, select Default Election	Not sure	Notice that the View selection drop down menu is duplicated on each party section. It gives the impression that you can have different views for each party section. Can we just keep this view selection on top?	Failed

Hi,

1. HLR-1 - isolated case with the "release" demo in the UnPLUG server. The selected election ID is stored in the selected_election cookie but get_cookie('selected_election') doesn't seem to return anything. This doesn't happen in the "halalanup" demo (CI 1.7.3) and in my local installation of 1.5.0 (CI 1.7.2).
2. HLR-2 - added new issue: http://code.google.com/p/halalan/issues/detail?id=74
3. HLR-3 - can't reproduce (both in UnPLUG demo and local installation of 1.5.0)
4. HLR-4 - isolated case with the Halalan demos in the UnPLUG server. I forgot to finish the installation properly, i.e. create the directories needed for file upload. This has been fixed already.
