Dear Mr. Prabath Sahabandu,

As a citizen of Mother Lanka i wish to express my humble gratitude for publishing the above titled article by Gnana Moonesinghe, which is a very patriotic step towards sustaining the peace which was collectively achieved by all true sons and daughters of mother Lanka.

I have learnt Buddhism, lord Buddha has preached practiced and promoted Mettha,Muditha, Upekkha & Karuna.

What is promoted now by the so called group led by few priests are Krodhaya and Wairaya which are totally against the teachings of Lord Buddha. In fact it is disgracing the Lord Buddha, the "Sasanaya", the respect and values of the Sivura (saffron robe).

As mentioned by the Ven. General Secretary of BBS and as we all are aware yes UN has listed 24 diminishing races in the world one of them sadly is the Sinhalses race.

You and any person with right senses and the right mental attitude will no doubt agree that it is not "Buddhism" that is endangered but the Sinhalese race. In fact Buddhism is the fastest growing religion in the USA and other developed countries.

If you take Sinhala as a race it is only existing in just one country that is Sri Lanka "Lokayatama Ekai" but if a Sinhalese person can honestly think and do a little fact finding or a mini survey will agree that it is only by the Sinhalese themselves and the modern day electronic media are contributing towards diminishing the race by killing this beautiful language. 

Just tune into a Sinahla medium FM  channel they neither speak Sinhala nor English but utter in Sin-Lish, consequences of this after a decade or so will be that we will not have Sinhalese community existing in the pearl of the Indian Ocean but a Sin-Lish community who do not no the fundamentals of their own mother tongue.

Because of these the cultural and Buddhist values are fading away, for example take the so-called Valentine's day

• There was a love train promoted and chartered by a FM channel - what is happening to " Kamei Suchcha chara"
• Those who traveled in the train wouldn't have told the truth to their parents and surely would have lied - "Musa Wada" ???
  
• Another social group calling for steps to "educate youth of safe sex during the month of lovers" is this promoting Buddhist values NO. It is disgracing the teachings of lord Budd

Those who are absolute patriots and who want to stand steady and protect the race should be fighting to upkeep the the language and richest cultures of the Sinhala race.

Promote Sinhala as Language among other races of Sri Lanka making a Sinhala fluent Sri Lanka in the near future so that UN classification will be forced to be lifted.

As far as Sri Lankan Muslims are concerned they have been loyal and patriotic for centuries. Even if you take 30 year old war Muslims stood for the mother land despite ethnic cleansing in the North, massacres confiscation of lands, denying of irrigation and thus livelihood the eastern Muslims stood firmly for the sake of the mother land.

Had the Northern Muslims heed to the LTTE, the tone and end results of the war could have not been what we see now. If all of you go back to the article I think by Dayan Jayathileke last week, how Mosad had told the LTTE that their main barrier for their struggle for a separate state is Muslims.

When last session of the UNHCR voting took place it only because of the call by the ACJU (Islamic Scholars)  the best political allies of the USA Saudi Arabia and the State of Qatar voted in favour of Sri Lanka and against their best political friend in the world. Majority voted for Sri Lanka were Muslim countries.

It is because of the failure of the so called world powers to impose per-planned trade and economic embargoes on Sri Lanka due to the patriotic action by Sri Lankan Muslims, a well planned and coordinated revenge using the Dollar Kakkas of Sri Lanka is staged and this is what we experience now.

Take the present situation the ACJU has come forward to compromise on the Halal giving priority to the Peace and Co-existence.

Is the West, TNA and LTTE diaspora though Norway - using the “Bodu Bala Sena” to damage Sri Lanka?

As much as the Anglican Church is important for the British, the Catholic Church for Rome, the Buddhist Clergy is important in Sri Lanka. All these religious institutions wield power and command respect.

So has the CIA, TNA and Norway affiliates helped in the creation of the Bodu Bala Sena – to bring Sri Lanka down on its knees in front of the UN’s Human Rights Commission next month?

One wonders who is benefiting from the Bodu Bala Sena’s actions?

At a time that Sri Lankans should be protesting their opposition to UN’s harassment of “Sri Lanka” that damaged the reconciliation process, the Bodu Bala Sena is focused on protesting against the Muslims on the issue of “halal food”.

How vital is the halal food matter compared to the UN’s proceedings next month against Sri Lanka? Halal foods have been sold in Sri Lanka for years. The question is why now? Is it to divert attention away from the UN actions?

Who has vested interest in harming the ethnic relations between the Sinhalese and the Muslims in Sri Lanka? Who wants to punish the Muslims for supporting Sri Lanka against the wishes of the USA?

The very Muslims that protested in front of the USA embassy against the unjust harassment of Sri Lanka at the UN last year are suddenly being cornered within months to the UN human rights discussions in Geneva (March 2013). We see the hand of the CIA here.

Within 12 months of this protest the tables have turned. The Bodu Bala Sena is protesting against Muslims on the issue of halal food within 4 weeks to the UN human rights commission.

When Bodu Bala Sena threatens the government with an ultimatum on 31^st March 2013 - saying the government came to power on the Sinhala Buddhist vote – it effectively distances the moderate Buddhists, Christians, Hindus and all ethnic minorities from the government. We see the hand of the cunning fox’s party here.

All actions of Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) point to appeasing the West and the Pro LTTE elements and damaging the Government of Sri Lanka.  The pro LTTE diaspora are pleased for four reasons

1.     because they are not happy about the Muslim political leadership in the East (a section of the country the Tamil tigers wanted)

2.     the pro LTTE ability to use this as an example of ethnic disharmony at the UN to say minorities are not being treated well

3.     an act of vengeance as the Muslims were a significant partner in the defeat of the Tamil tigers  

4.     creating a rift in the ethnic relations between the Sinhalese and Muslims – on the lines of a divided house is a weak house

The Bodu Bala Sena employee’s connections to the Norwegian embassy is not a secret.

Bodu Bala Sena admires Norway’s killing of animals with music but objects to the killing of animals by Muslims with prayers. So it is no surprise that Bodu Bala Sena will not protest against Norway and Eric Solheim the man who stood by the terrorists when thousands were massacred over the years. For Bodu Bala Sena it is okay for Norway that made a meal out of Sri Lanka’s terrorism, to be a role model.  Bodu Bala should then campaign for vegetarianism and not for any type of killing.
