Tauheed (belief in the oneness of Allah): தௌஹீத் (அல்லாஹ்வின் ஒருமையில் நம்பிக்கை):The meaning of Tauheed is to believe in the Oneness of Allah, His being and His attributes. It is to believe and testify with absolute certainty that there is no other partner as such besides Allah, that there exists no other being as High and Exalted that He is, and also to believe in all the Attributes of Allah, and there can be none who can possess them.

தௌஹீதின் பொருள் அல்லாஹ்வின் ஒருமை, அவனது இருப்பு மற்றும் அவனது பண்புகளை நம்புவதாகும். அல்லாஹ்வைத் தவிர வேறு எந்த துணையும் இல்லை என்றும், அவனைப் போல் உயர்ந்த மற்றும் உயர்ந்த வேறு யாரும் இல்லை என்றும், அல்லாஹ்வின் அனைத்துப் பண்புகளையும் நம்புவதும், இருக்க முடியாது என்றும் உறுதியாக நம்புவதும், சாட்சியம் சொல்வதும் ஆகும். யார் அவற்றை வைத்திருக்க முடியும்.

If anyone, on the contrary, disagrees, holds a slight feeble believe in the above-said meaning of Tauheed or even holds a doubt in his heart, then he may be meandering around the abyss of Shirk. He may, or he may have already been fallen.

A Muslims belief may vary from a verbal agreement of Tauheed to the ones whose heart resides in the soul of the phrase Tauheed, thus indicating to them where their foot stand on the grounds of Imaan. Having said this, it is to be understood that Tauheed is the fundamental and rudimentary part of a Muslims life, without which there’s no point of one being called a Muslim.

இதற்கு மாறாக, எவரேனும் உடன்படவில்லை என்றால், தௌஹீதின் மேற்கூறிய அர்த்தத்தில் சற்று பலவீனமான நம்பிக்கை இருந்தால் அல்லது அவரது இதயத்தில் சந்தேகம் இருந்தால், அவர் ஷிர்க்கின் படுகுழியில் சுற்றிக் கொண்டிருக்கலாம். அவர், அல்லது அவர் ஏற்கனவே விழுந்திருக்கலாம்.

The statement of Tauheed:‘la ilaaha illallah’

Tauheed has unanimously been divided into three categories by many scholars:

1) Tauheed-al-Ruboobiyyah (Oneness of Divine Lordship)
2) Tauheed-al-Uloohiyyah (Oneness of worship and devotion)
3) Tauheed-al-Asma wa’l-Sifaat (Oneness of the Divine Names and Attributes)

3:19-The Religion before Allah is Islam (submission to His will): nor did the people of the Book dissent therefrom except through envy of each other after knowledge had come to them. But if any deny the Signs of Allah Allah is swift in calling to account. 359

3:19. நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் (அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட) மார்க்கம் இஸ்லாம்தான். வேதம் அளிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் (‘இதுதான் உண்மையான வேதம்' என்ற) ஞானம் அவர்களுக்கு கிடைத்த பின்னர் தங்களுக்கிடையே உள்ள பொறாமையின் காரணமாகவே (இதற்கு) மாறுபட்டனர். ஆகவே, எவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய வசனங்களை நிராகரிக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களுடைய கணக்கை நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வெகு சீக்கிரத்தில் எடுப்பான்.

3:85-If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah) never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good). 418

3:85. இஸ்லாமையன்றி (வேறொரு) மார்க்கத்தை எவரேனும் விரும்பினால் நிச்சயமாக அவரிடமிருந்து (அது) அங்கீகரிக்கவே படமாட்டாது. மறுமையில் அவர் நஷ்டமடைந்த வராகவே இருப்பார்

61:9-It is He Who has sent His Apostle with Guidance and the Religion of Truth that he may proclaim it over all religion even though the Pagans may detest (it). 5442

61:9. அவன்தான் தன் (இத்)தூதரை நேரான வழியைக்கொண்டும், உண்மையான மார்க்கத்தைக் கொண்டும் அனுப்பிவைத்தான். (ஈஸாவை அல்லாஹ்வுடைய மகனென்று, அவனுக்கு) இணை வைத்து வணங்கும் இவர்கள் வெறுத்தபோதிலும், எல்லா மார்க்கங்களையும் அது வென்ன்ற தீரும்.

2:177-It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces toward East or West; but it is righteousness to believe in Allah and the Last Day and the Angels and the Book and the Messengers; to spend of your substance out of love for Him for your kin for orphans for the needy for the wayfarer for those who ask and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient in pain (or suffering) and adversity and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth the Allah-fearing. 177 178 179 180 181.

2:177. மேற்கிலோ கிழக்கிலோ உங்கள் முகங்களை நீங்கள் திருப்பி விடுவதனால் மட்டும் நன்மை செய்தவர்களாக ஆகிவிடமாட்டீர்கள். (உங்களில்) எவர் அல்லாஹ்வையும், இறுதி நாளையும் (மறுமை நாளையும்), வானவர்களையும், வேதங்களையும், நபிமார்களையும், நிச்சயமாக நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு தனக்கு விருப்பமுள்ள பொருளை அல்லாஹ்வுக்காக உறவினர்களுக்கும், அநாதைகளுக்கும், ஏழைகளுக்கும், வழிப் போக்கர்களுக்கும், யாசகர்களுக்கும், விடுதலையை விரும்பிய (அடிமைகள், கடன்காரர்கள் ஆகிய)வர்களுக்கும் கொடுத்து (உதவி செய்து,) தொழுகையையும் கடைப்பிடித்து தொழுது, ஜகாத்தும் கொடுத்து வருகிறாரோ அவரும்; வாக்குறுதி செய்த சமயத்தில் தங்கள் வாக்குறுதியை(ச் சரிவர) நிறைவேற்றுபவர்களும்; கடினமான வறுமையிலும், நோய் நொடிகளிலும், கடுமையான போர் நேரத்திலும் பொறுமையைக் கைக்கொண்டவர்களும் ஆகிய (இவர்கள்தான் நல்லோர்கள்.) இவர்கள்தான் (அல்லாஹ்வை நம்பிக்கை கொள்வதில்) உண்மையானவர்கள். இவர்கள்தான் இறையச்சமுடையவர்கள்!

54:49-Verily all things have We created in proportion and measure. 5163

54:49. நிச்சயமாக நாம் ஒவ்வொரு பொருளையும் குறிப்பான திட்டப்படியே படைத்திருக்கிறோம்.

7:96-If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah We should indeed have opened out to them (all kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth) and We brought them to book for their misdeeds.

7:96. அவ்வூர்களில் இருந்தவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பயந்து நடந்திருந்தால், அவர்களுக்காக வானத்திலும், பூமியிலும் உள்ள அருட்கொடைகளின் வாசல்களைத் திறந்து விட்டிருப்போம். எனினும், அவர்களோ (நபிமார்களை நம்பிக்கைகொள்ளாது) பொய்யாக்கினார்கள். ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய (தீய) செயலின் காரணமாக நாம் (வேதனையைக் கொண்டு) அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டோம்.

71:11-"`He will send rain to you in abundance; 5712

71:11. (அவ்வாறு செய்வீர்களாயின், தடைப்பட்டிருக்கும்) மழையை உங்களுக்குத் தொடர்ச்சியாக அனுப்புவான்.

71:12-"`Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you Gardens and bestow on you Rivers (of flowing water). 5713

71:12. பொருள்களையும், ஆண் மக்களையும் கொடுத்து, உங்களுக்கு உதவி புரிவான்; உங்களுக்குத் தோட்டங்களையும் உற்பத்தி செய்து, அவற்றில் நதிகளையும் ஓட வைப்பான்.

6:82-"It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong that are (truly) in security for they are on (right) guidance."

6:82. எவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு, தங்கள் நம்பிக்கையுடன் (இணைவைத்தல் என்னும்) அநியாயத்தையும் கலந்து விடவில்லையோ அவர்களுக்கே நிச்சயமாக பாதுகாப்பு உண்டு. அவர்கள்தான் நேர்வழியாளர்கள் (என்று கூறினார்).

31:11-Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay but the Transgressors are in manifest error. 3592

31:11. (ஆகவே, நபியே! நீர் அவர்களை நோக்கிக் கூறுவீராக) ‘‘ இவை அனைத்தும் அல்லாஹ் படைத்தவையாகும். அவனையன்றி (நீங்கள் தெய்வங்கள் என்று கூறும்) அவை எதை படைத்திருக்கின்றன என்பதை நீங்கள் எனக்குக் காண்பியுங்கள். அவ்வாறு (ஒன்றும்) இல்லை. (அல்லாஹ்வை அன்றி மற்றவர்களை வணங்கும்) இந்த அநியாயக்காரர்கள் பகிரங்கமான வழிகேட்டில்தான் இருக்கின்றனர்.

24:55-Allah has promised to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds that He will of a surety grant them in the land inheritance (of power) as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state) after the fear in which they (lived) to one of security and peace: `They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me.' If any do reject faith after this they are rebellious and wicked. 3031 3032.

24:55. (மனிதர்களே!) உங்களில் எவரேனும் மெய்யாகவே நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களையும் செய்து வந்தால், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் சென்றவர்களை(ப் பூமிக்கு) அதிபதிகளாக்கியது போன்றே இவர்களையும் நிச்சயமாகப் பூமிக்கு அதிபதியாக்கி வைப்பதாகவும், அவன் இவர்களுக்கு விரும்பிய மார்க்கத்தில் இவர்களை உறுதியாக்கி வைப்பதாகவும், அமைதியையும் பாதுகாப்பையும் கொண்டு இவர்களுடைய பயத்தை மாற்றி விடுவதாகவும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வாக்களித்திருக்கிறான். (அன்றி) அவர்கள் தன்னையே வணங்கும்படியாகவும், எதையும் தனக்கு இணையாக்கக் கூடாது என்றும் அவன் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறான். இதன் பின்னர், எவரேனும் நிராகரிப்பவர்களாகி விட்டால் நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பெரும் பாவிகள்தான்.

8:12-Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." 1189

8:12. (நபியே!) உமது இறைவன் வானவர்களை நோக்கி ‘‘நிச்சயமாக நான் உங்களுடன் இருக்கிறேன். ஆகவே, நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை உறுதிப்படுத்துங்கள்; (என்று கட்டளையிட்டு) நிராகரிப்பவர்களுடைய உள்ளங்களில் நான் திகிலை உண்டு பண்ணுவேன் (என்று கூறி, நம்பிக்கையாளர்களை நோக்கி) நீங்கள் அவர்களுடைய பிடரிகளின் மேல் வெட்டுங்கள். அவர்களை கணுக்கணுவாகத் துண்டித்து விடுங்கள்'' என்று அறிவித்ததை நினைத்துப் பாருங்கள்.

2:286-On no soul doth Allah place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray): "Our Lord! condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; help us against those who stand against faith." 340 341 342

2:286. அல்லாஹ் ஓர் ஆத்மாவை அதன் சக்திக்கு மேல் நிர்ப்பந்திப்பதில்லை. அவை தேடிக் கொண்ட நன்மை அவற்றுக்கே (பயனளிக்கும்). அவை தேடிக்கொண்ட தீமை அவற்றுக்கே (கேடு விளைவிக்கும்). ‘‘எங்கள் இறைவனே! நாங்கள் (எங்கள் கடமைகளைச் செய்ய) மறந்து விட்டாலும் அல்லது அதில் தவறிழைத்துவிட்டாலும் அதைப் பற்றி நீ எங்களை (குற்றம்) பிடிக்காதே! எங்கள் இறைவனே! நீ எங்கள் மீது (கடினமான கட்டளைகளை விதித்து) பளுவான சுமையை சுமத்திவிடாதே. எங்களுக்கு முன்னிருந்தவர்கள் மீது (கடினமான கட்டளைகளை) நீ சுமத்தியவாறு (சுமத்தாதே!). எங்கள் இறைவனே! நாங்கள் தாங்க முடியாத சிரமங்களை எங்கள் மீது சுமத்திவிடாதே! எங்கள் (குற்றங்களை) அழிப்பாயாக! எங்களை மன்னிப்பாயாக! எங்கள் மீது கருணை புரிவாயாக! நீதான் எங்கள் பாதுகாவலன்! ஆகவே, (உன்னை) நிராகரிக்கும் கூட்டங்கள் மீது (வெற்றிபெற) நீ எங்களுக்கு உதவி புரிவாயாக!

33:66-The Day that their faces will be turned upside down in the Fire they will say: "Woe to us! would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Apostle!" 3772

33:66. நரகத்தில் அவர்களுடைய முகங்களை புரட்டிப் புரட்டிப் பொசுக்கும் நாளில் ‘‘எங்கள் கேடே! நாங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கும் அவனுடைய தூதருக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருக்க வேண்டுமே!'' என்று கதறுவார்கள்.

5:3-Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat blood the flesh of swine and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah that which hath been killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a headlong fall or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you completed my favor upon you and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any forced by hunger with no inclination to transgression Allah is indeed Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful. 691 692 693 694

5:3. (நம்பிக்கையாளர்களே! தானாக) செத்தது, இரத்தம், பன்றி இறைச்சி, அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றின் பெயர் கூறப்பட்டவை ஆகியவையும், அடிப்பட்டுச் செத்ததும், (மேலிருந்து) விழுந்து செத்ததும், கழுத்து நெருக்கிச் செத்ததும், கொம்பால் குத்தப்பட்டுச் செத்ததும், (சிங்கப் பல்லும், வீர நகமுமுள்ள மாமிசம் தின்னும் மிருகங்களாகிய சிங்கம், புலி, சிறுத்தை போன்ற) ஐவாய் மிருகங்கள் கடித்(துச் செத்)தவையும் உங்களுக்கு விலக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. (எனினும், இம்மிருகங்கள் வேட்டையாடிய) அவற்றில் (உயிரோடிருப்பவற்றில்) முறைப்படி (பிஸ்மில்லாஹ் சொல்லி) அறுக்கப்பட்டவற்றைத் தவிர. (அவ்வாறு அறுக்கப்பட்டவற்றைப் புசிக்கலாம். பூஜை செய்வதற்காக) நடப்பட்ட (ஸ்தம்பம், கொடி, பாவட்டா, சிலை போன்ற)வற்றுக்காக அறுக்கப்பட்டவையும், அம்பு எய்து (குறி கேட்டுப்) பாகம் பிரித்துக் கொள்வதும் (உங்களுக்கு விலக்கப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன). இவை அனைத்தும் பாவங்களாகும். நிராகரிப்பவர்கள் உங்கள் மார்க்கத்தை (அழித்துவிடலாம் என்பதை)ப் பற்றிய நம்பிக்கையை இன்றைய தினம் இழந்துவிட்டார்கள். ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் (ஒரு சிறிதும்) பயப்பட வேண்டாம். எனக்கே பயப்படுங்கள். இன்றைய தினம் நான் உங்களுக்கு உங்கள் மார்க்கத்தை முழுமையாக்கி வைத்து என் அருளையும் உங்கள் மீது முழுமையாக்கி வைத்துவிட்டேன். உங்களுக்காக இந்த இஸ்லாமை மார்க்கமாக திருப்தியடைந்தேன் (அங்கீகரித்துக் கொண்டேன்). எவரேனும், பாவம் செய்யும் எண்ணமின்றி பசியின் கொடுமையினால் நிர்ப்பந்திக்கப்பட்டு (மேலே கூறப்பட்ட விலக்கப்பட்டவற்றைப் புசித்து) விட்டால் (அது குற்றமாகாது. ஏனென்றால்), நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் (நிர்ப்பந்தத்திற்குள்ளான அவருடைய குற்றங்களை) மிகவும் மன்னிப்பவன், (அவர் மீது) பெரும் கருணை காட்டுபவன் ஆவான்.

41:30-In the case of those who say "Our Lord is Allah" and further stand straight and steadfast the angels descend on them (from time to time): "Fear ye not!" (they suggest) "nor grieve! but receive the Glad Tidings of the Garden (of Bliss) the which ye were promised! 4499

41:30. எனினும், எவர்கள் எங்கள் இறைவன் அல்லாஹ்தான் என்று கூறி, (அதன் மீது) உறுதியாக நிலைத்து இருந்தார்களோ அவர்களிடம் நிச்சயமாக வானவர்கள் வந்து (அவர்களை நோக்கி) ‘‘நீங்கள் (ஒன்றுக்கும்) பயப்படாதீர்கள்; கவலைப்படாதீர்கள். உங்களுக்கு வாக்களிக்கப்பட்ட சொர்க்கத்தைக் கொண்டு சந்தோஷமடையுங்கள்'' என்றும்,

24:55-Allah has promised to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds that He will of a surety grant them in the land inheritance (of power) as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state) after the fear in which they (lived) to one of security and peace: `They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me.' 24:55. (மனிதர்களே!) உங்களில் எவரேனும் மெய்யாகவே நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு நற்செயல்களையும் செய்து வந்தால், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னர் சென்றவர்களை(ப் பூமிக்கு) அதிபதிகளாக்கியது போன்றே இவர்களையும் நிச்சயமாகப் பூமிக்கு அதிபதியாக்கி வைப்பதாகவும், அவன் இவர்களுக்கு விரும்பிய மார்க்கத்தில் இவர்களை உறுதியாக்கி வைப்பதாகவும், அமைதியையும் பாதுகாப்பையும் கொண்டு இவர்களுடைய பயத்தை மாற்றி விடுவதாகவும் நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் வாக்களித்திருக்கிறான். (அன்றி) அவர்கள் தன்னையே வணங்கும்படியாகவும், எதையும் தனக்கு இணையாக்கக் கூடாது என்றும் அவன் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறான். இதன் பின்னர், எவரேனும் நிராகரிப்பவர்களாகி விட்டால் நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பெரும் பாவிகள்தான்.

(அன்றி) அவர்கள் தன்னையே வணங்கும்படியாகவும், எதையும் தனக்கு இணையாக்கக் கூடாது என்றும் அவன் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறான். இதன் பின்னர், எவரேனும் நிராகரிப்பவர்களாகி விட்டால் நிச்சயமாக அவர்கள் பெரும் பாவிகள்தான்.

7:96. அவ்வூர்களில் இருந்தவர்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டு (அல்லாஹ்வுக்குப்) பயந்து நடந்திருந்தால், அவர்களுக்காக வானத்திலும், பூமியிலும் உள்ள அருட்கொடைகளின் வாசல்களைத் திறந்து விட்டிருப்போம். எனினும், அவர்களோ (நபிமார்களை நம்பிக்கைகொள்ளாது) பொய்யாக்கினார்கள். ஆகவே, அவர்களுடைய (தீய) செயலின் காரணமாக நாம் (வேதனையைக் கொண்டு) அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டோம்.
