It’s all about the hard work, discipline and determination.It’s these traits—and their tried-and-tested skills—that the DLSU Green Archers brought to the court at the National Cheerleading Championship competition in Ynares Sports Arena today.“We’re always gunning for perfection, nothing less,” says Stewart Abacio, 21, head drummer and squad president. He’s also an Educational Psychology major.The Archers competed against 19 other universities for the college division in this year’s bout, in which they placed fourth—a big jump from their 11th place ranking last year.“Our stunts are our strongest weapon, not just the group stunts but also the individual and partner,” Abacio says. “We’ve improved a lot.”The squad trains rigorously, spendi ng almost everyday acing their routine.“We have to have at ! least on e perfect run every day,” says A...
