Status of HAL RFC

Hi all,

Can anyone clarify the status of HAL rfc ? I could see that RFC draft for HAL has been expired on Nov 2016. What is the status of this? Is it abandoned or will there be a new draft?

Also what about HAL forms. Is there any update on this (https://rwcbook.github.io/hal-forms/) ?

If there is anything anyone can do to help move this to "official" status - I and my team are certainly interested.

Evert Pot and Mike Kelly (HAL creator) have both expressed interest in completing the standards track for HAL.

I'd also be happy to be involved. 

What I think needs to happen is to 
- refresh the draft RFC (to bring it up to date)

- work through any mods we think need to be done (HAL-FORMS? CURIES?, etc.)

- get some details from the HTTP-API IETF group on how to get the resulting draft on the agenda for wider discussion and approval

Initially, we need some commitment from a (small) group of ppl and then we need an editor who will wrangle the text, do the doc builds, etc.

I am willing to volunteer some time to this. who else is up for it?

Good to see you... (we met at a couple of REST Fest events).

I don't know the IETF ropes, but I would love to contribute to moving this forward.  What do you see are the next steps?  Should we meet? get a hold of Mike Kelly?
