The software tools division of ARM, Inc is looking for an
intern with Linux platform-level skills, who is enthusiastic
about embedded systems, open-source software, and is eager to
apply what they’ve studied and learn a thing or two in the
process. This is a full-time paid internship, open to all
qualified students working toward a CS or EE degree at an
accredited academic institution, or candidates of exceptional
ability from other backgrounds. You will be working alongside
the developers in ARM’s Streamline product development team, a
small group who is passionate about development tools and
getting things done.
Desired skills include:
- Build a uBoot bootloader, and configure launch settings for
flash drives or debug serial ports
- Configuring and compiling a Linux kernel for an embedded
target
- Kernel hacking, including device driver work, modifying
existing kernel modules
- Setting up a cross-compiler toolchain and platform build
environment
- Application development in a Unix environment
- Working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) or Android a plus
